The Crooked Spire...Chesterfield

Chesterfield is home to a phenomenom....A spire that is as crooked as a Harry Potter story hat....Reason...Probably built with green timbers and as they dried they shrank and twisted to the shape you see today....They do twist and lean to the south giving credence to that explanation...It is about 9 feet out of centre.
The art college at Pembroke, Hasland has now long gone but is amalgamated with Chesterfield Tech College. Pembroke House is the only structure plus some out buildings still standing
Micks Alma Mater

The centre of Chesterfield was a marrket town and still shows signs of that. Rome and Medieval plus a smattering of Elizabethan.

The towne even boasts a "Rag and Bone Man" on his horsedrawn wagon  (the original recyclers).
